Quick report
Variable conditions. Very low coverage especially on the in/out tracks to east peak. We started out from the trailhead around 8AM and made our way up to east peak then over to the saddle looking into lakes basin and traversed up the ridge to check out wall of pow. There was more sun than expected and hardly any precipitation throughout the day. A lot of warming turned solar aspects into grabby hot mush. On steeper pitches and as warming occurred, we observed roller balls, but with the lack of snow volume, nothing consequential . On the ascent back up to east peak in the afternoon around 3PM we noticed a crust was beginning to form and the top layer of snow solidifying somewhat. The temps were beginning to drop and the slope was now in the shade.
