Quick Observation
Skied the north side of Frink from the summit to Moat Lake. High cloud in the AM kept temps cool, and travel was fast on a refrozen supportive crust up and around the south side of Castlecrag. Evidence of widespread recent wind effect in alpine, and deep (40-60cm) unreactive windslab at ridgetop and in open alpine on the north side of Frink. Dry snow down to 1650m, then moist breakable crust below that. We experienced rapid warming in the late afternoon with rollerballs and wet point releases in steep below-treeline north facing terrain. No other new natural avalanches observed. Isothermal snow all the way out the road down to our 550m staging on the East Cruikshank.
