Friday STS

Lovely and very quiet Friday morning in the Connaught creek. Starting early, it was definitely a crusty walk up, but quick travel. The entrance to the couloir only required minor prep, and the rappel was very straight forward. Once in the couloir, snow conditions were great! Noticed compact areas from previously slid snow, but otherwise it was powder all the way down. Once the couloir opened up into the fan, it became a bit more hard-packed underneath with soft snow on top. Overall, super fun day with surprisingly good conditions, and a nice sun-softened ride out.
