Just enough

Skinned from the car with just enough snow, moist till the turn off the road (1400m). Lots of alders between the road and the hut, just enough snow to pick our way through without much issue. Snow was thick and shallow on sunny side, lots of stumps and deadfall poking up or just buried, not amazing skiing. We found the amazing skiing off planetary peak skiing the treed corridors back down to the hut. Some pocket wind slabs forming near the ridge but nothing wide spread. Ski out was actually quite fun, but sticky low down.
