Touchy alpine windslabs

Accidental skier triggered size 1.5 stiff wind slab. As we gained elevation the snow began to become increasingly wind affected. We decided to deviate from our objective and turn around due to incoming storm and snow conditions. Skied a small chute back towards our skin track and slab was triggered on first skier. Skier was carried about 80-100 meters and was not buried or injured (although two ski poles were lost). Ski conditions at and below tree line was good and felt stable in sheltered areas.
