Avalanche Information

An avalanche was triggered remotely whilst skinning up the East side of the North ridge of Mt Goldie, approx 650m from the summit. A very loud whumph was heard as we broke through the treeline, which triggered a size 2 avalanche approximately 100m away. This slide then caused a further size 2.5 avalanche to occur across much of the bowl on the North East side of Mt Goldie, starting in the alpine, close to the summit. Picture attached is of the second avalanche.
