Black prince trees

Skiing black prince trees today, was pleased to find 15 cm of fresh snow. About half way up started noticing stiffness below the snow. Dug a hand pit and found on a more eastern aspect the 15cm was sitting on top of a 15cm crust that took a decent amount of effort to pull out. On the southern aspect we found to be more sheltered and no apparent windslab. Continuing to tree-line surface became hard and wind affected. From there we stopped and skied the trees on the south side of the knob. From tree line we could see evidence of small slides coming near exposed rock in the bowls under black prince. Ski down was good lots of pinwheeling during the heat of the day. Over all a nice day out on black prince and a surprise to have not many tracks after the refresh.
