Quick Observation
Set our expectations low and they were generally met at Cathedral trees/slide path. Things were stable but not great for getting turns. Less than a meter of snow and bare dirt visible under trees had us concerned on the road, but one of the slide paths had slid and cleared out (one older large wet slide and a more recent stuff of the new snow off the steep rocks above the slide path). We gave it a go as something less likely to end in twisted knees. Up high the old wet avalanche had scrubbed the slide path pretty well and there was a couple cm of dust on a very hard slick crust. There was the odd buried ice chunk and hole. Skinning up was tricky, coming down wasn't much more fun. Below the debris pile from the wet slide things improved slightly. Snow was heavy enough we mostly stuck on top. Heavy and wet and hard to turn. The crust was softer but still present. Under the crust it seemed like facets to ground, but we didn't dig a pit to find out. No wind, just starting to snow at 2 when we left. Not worth a return trip.
