Warm and Windy.

As we toured up to ridge top the sun and warm temperatures were starting to warm the top 5cm of snow. At ridge top the strong south west winds were creating windslab and forming sastrugi (waves in the snow). The combination of warming and windloading we avoided convex slopes favouring supported features. There was still soft snow to be found in the trees and touring in the warm temperatures today was a welcome change.
