West Perry area

Went up to a bowl off the West Perry road; did a quick pit just below treeline at 1700 m. Hs 125 cm. 4 mm surface hoar on top, even in the alpine. Two storm snow interfaces down 15 cm and down 40 cm. The 40 cm one is probably equivalent to the Dec 7 raincrust lower down. Both layers were not reactive in compression tests. November crust is 85 cm down, and loose facets below it to ground. Lots of wind affected snow in the alpine - windward slopes are bare. Good skiing in wind pressed powder.
