Nice sunny morning in the Shames backcountry, transitioning to a greybird afternoon. Little to no wind all day. Most aspects at treeline were hard or had a slight breakable crust in the morning, starting to soften by about 11am. We poked our heads into Zymbuck 1 (northeast aspect) and found ~15 cm of wet powder on a supportive crust. Riding quality was decent, but we triggered a few size 1 wet slides on the way down. Adjacent Zymbuck 3 was full of debris from a recent cornice failure and wet loose avalanche.
Pollywood skied great in the afternoon- prime corn snow, only getting a bit sticky at the bottom.
