Quick report

Aspect
West
Elevation
2591 m
Slope Angle
27°

In the one pit I dug on the steepest slope angle I encountered, snow depth about 70 cm. Still some facets near the bottom of the snow pack 2" to 10" above the ground. But these are starting to bond/compact and were finger to 4-finger hard. Snow above was finger hard above except for the thin crust mentioned above a few inches below the surface. Shovel test failed (slumped slightly with no energy) at 22; couldn't get an extended column test to fail despite pounding my hardest.

Snowpack

Very light powder on top of a thin, but very supportive crust. Fun, surfy ski conditions
