Quick report

Was finding mostly stable snow in the Monitors today, not near enough weight in the new snow to break into old weak layers, and the new snow was bonded to the old surface quite well. No sluffing noted today either the snow was a bit to dense for long running sluffs. No cracking or collapsing today, did see one small skier initiated soft slab pull out in West Monitor on a steep N facing roll over but it was shallow and did not propagate or run any distance. Pics, skier triggered soft slab in West Monitor, baby cornice drop in South Monitor.

Snowpack

There was about 10 to 12 inches of new snow in the Monitors. Snow was medium density mainly because the wind had hit it during the storm. Medium density snow was perfect for the Monitors because it kept you from hitting the underlying bed surface, fast and fun. South facing got damp during the day and will be crusted tomorrow.
