- <p>I was interested to get a look at the distribution of old snow and the conditions of the facets. Minimal old snow on east facing slopes below Twin Lakes Pass. Some limited facets around rocks but in general snowpack consisted of grauple & settled snow from last weekend's storm. On north facing Patsy Marley, significantly more old snow was found. The weakest snow were facets present just below a melt freeze crust. Snowpit tests showed this layer was hard to trigger but could still prorogate. These facets were fairly small size and not particularly sugary. The very bottom of the snowpack consisted of somewhat frozen facets. Last weekend's storm snow had become fairly dense and slab like. </p>
Warm, grauple like snow fell for much of the day. The snow was quite dense.
