Quick report
Today we went for a hike on the Robinson Creek trail for our first visit to the Twin Lakes region. We were able to get some good views into popular ski terrain on Crater Crest, Horse Creek and Little Slide Canyon . We turned around at Barney lake for an out and back hike. No need for skis on the hiking trail as we found it to be snow free besides a few shaded spots. Looking up the various canyons in the zone, North faces at high elevation hold the most snow, but still need a significant amount of more snow to make early season ski turns a viable option. South facing slopes are barren besides a few spots of snow holding on at the highest reaches of the ridgeline.
Happy Thanksgiving!
