Above Lockett Meadow XC Ski/Glass Slopes

Using monoculars, we glassed some slopes today. Found a couple of small mid-storm point releases on N-NE slopes above treeline. Looks like there was a D1 soft slab release yesterday near treeline on Fremont Peak. See the photo. We found a wind slab on a rounded ridge in low-angle terrain. Some of it was 2' thick. It was slightly punchy but did not produce significant cracking. See the photo. We did not see any ski tracks in avalanche terrain today, at least not before 1:30 in the afternoon.
