An inch or two of rimed new snow from 11-16, 17 caps a very stout and slick rime/rain-crust from 11-12-21. The crust is very slippery and travel even in moderately steep terrain is a bit challenging. For steeper mountain objectives people should bring ice-ax and crampons. In some areas, winds scoured the shallow fresh snow right off the slick rime-crust.
Very thin snow conditions, but the existing snow is pretty hard and sticking around with the current cold temperatures.
Snowpack
Only an inch or two of rimed new snow from 11-16 covering a hard and very slick rain-rime crust from 11-12 and unusually warm temperatures. Difficult to skin up. Need ice ax, crampons for safe travel on steep slopes
