- <p>Was surprised to see cracking on a rather benign "slope" just to the side of a popular walking trail. Crack was about 10" deep - to the old/new interface. I also had audible collapsing when I moved off the packed trail. This is around 5300'. The snow is generally weak with poor structure. </p>
