When we hunt, we're finding a persistent weak layer near the ground in areas with shallow snow cover on west facing slopes. I've included pit profiles from west facing at 6900' in Beaver Canyon across from the backside pullout and one from west facing at 8100' just off the Swan Flats Rd.
