Quick report

Collapsing
isolated

Amazing sunny pow day riding with solid riding partners and using low angle terrain!  Was surprised with the lack of natural avalanche activity?  Wind effect on isolated terrain features.

Observed a few storm slabs and dry loose that ran mid storm. Was surprised by the lack of red flags given the weather event and poor structure in the upper and mid snowpack.

Snowpack

Moist snow on the surface up to tree line.  Dry above tree line varying in depths of 2-3' of storm snow.  This settling slab over a crust-facet combo and within the new snow showed low strength, high likelihood of propagation and poor structure on East aspects at 2200' and 2600' using stability tests.
