Quick report
While the snowpack remains stronger on most aspects, the Northern slopes of the mountain have a slight bit more reactive snowpack. This is especially noticeable in windloaded areas and more sun protected areas. Caution should still be taken in these areas at this aspect. Our main concern moving forward will remain the leewind side of the mountain N-E-SE. The densely packed, wind-loaded snow sits a top a thin layer of near surface facets. The Christmas crust can’t be ruled out yet either. While more stubborn to reaction, the potential for a slide at this layer, still remains.

Snowpack
North aspect, 10,862’. Snowpit depth was 135 cm with 2 layers of concern. First one from wind loading @ 109cm up, and the other being that Christmas crust about midway through the snowpack. Also some rounding Depth Hoar is still found near the ground. ECTX, PST 65/120 END@53cm, PST 37/120 END@109cm
