Quick report
We found nice supportable powder on sheltered, mid-elevation S-SE terrain. No cracking or other sign of instabilities encountered. Sky was broken until 1330 when clouds cleared and the sun really shone through. Calm to moderate mostly SW winds kept the snow surface cool. We observed wind effect in open burned areas at middle and lower elevations. The snow was punchy, sugary, and much less supportable at lower E elevations.
