Quick report

Cool morning but turned spring like quickly. Still soft snow on N aspects. Winds started to pick up on ridge with significant spindrifts coming down. Solar aspects had crusts of varying thickness depending on aspect, elevation and slope angle. Saw some big wet loose slides that came down off Gibbs yesterday.

Extensive avalanche debris on NE aspect of Mt Wood. Took photo of most distinctive and recent looking crown that looks to have propagated quite extensively in a NE couloir. Photo doesn’t capture the whole crown it extended further into bowl and around towards next bowl.
