Quick report

Strong S winds at the TH at 6am and all the way up Shadow. Lots of wind transport obscuring the previous day's track. Touchy new cornices and wind slabs along the ascent route.

Triggered a small soft slab at the top of a short but steep E-facing couloir. Slab was very soft and I was surprised that it was cohesive at all. There were numerous small loose dry avalanches coming off the cliffs in the surrounding bowl due to warming. Also a day old natural avalanche below some cliffs just S of where we skied. I was surprised to trigger a wind slab in this relatively sheltered location.
