While skiing the far right line in the Dog Lake Chutes, my partner released a small soft slab. He continued to ski and it did not come close to catching up to him, though it did entrain a signficant amount of snow before stopping at the transition. The debris pile was about 2 feet deep. The weak layer was light density snow 1 cm above the old m/f crust. The bonding to the old m/f crust was good and it did not dig down to the crust as it ran on the light density snow.
