Overcast to mostly cloudy sky. Moderate to strong westerly winds with occasional extreme gusts. Light snow continued throughout the day. About 4.5" of new snow at 11,000ft in upper Washington Gultch.
Snowpack
The wind had formed thicker drifts near some ridgeline and cross-loaded terrain features. The wind slabs I encountered didn't ever extend very far into the slopes below and were very small in size. Many other open terrain features above 11,200ft were blown back to old snow surfaces. Wind slabs were the only potential avalanche problem to manage in this area.
