Quick report
Went for a wander with the ladies in our Avy 1 course today in bounds due to tricky travel conditions outside of the resort. The cold and lack of recent snow led us to the decision to find a suitable place to dig a pit inbounds. We skied over to Evan’s Heaven area off of chair 5 between Moose’s and Russ’s Street and found a nice soft spot to do an ECT and CT.
Today was overcast and -15C, snowing lightly all day with no wind. No signs of instability on the traverse over. New snowfall was minimal. We dug our pit on an east facing 20 degree slope and found a HS of 200cm. Our ETC/CT results were CTN and ECTX. Snowpack was impressively stable.
