Quick Observation

Great skiing but we definitely played it safe and stayed away from any potential avalanche slopes.

Snowpack

We dug a pit in the trees at 1850m elevation on an east-northeast aspect. We got a CTM 15 planar result down 105cm. The recent storm snow was consolidated into a slab that slid cleanly on the weak layer. We went back to the same spot Sunday and found about 10cm of light snow on top of the slab. The slab snow felt very firm, and there was barely any ski penetration, though we didn't do any tests.
