The snowpack seems to be stabilizing overall, but the top layers might become a problem once they are buried in the upcoming storm. For now, they make for great recrystalized powder skiing in the sun or shade.

<p>While we did get results in our pit tests, the layer failed at the ground on top of vegetation instead of at the interface between layers. The facets near the ground were large but seemed to be rounding. </p>
