As we hiked into bear trap today we took a moment to stomp on some short, steep test slopes adjacent to the gully. (Of course, no one was below, ascending or descending). We stomped on the edges of a couple test slopes on our way up, opting to skin climbers right of the main gully skintrack. At all test slopes we got collapses and whumphs, as expected. However, even with some big jumps were not able to get the slopes to crack or slide.
