Quick report

Red Flags
Poor Snowpack Structure

Travel today was from Cardiff in BCC up to the cardiff moraine, lower part of High Ivory, with a exit out of Georges Bowl from the top. Travel was easy today. Some people starting to step out into bigger terrain.....

The wind board and slab continues to decompose, and was unreactive. Which built my confidence as I traveled through some avalanche terrain. Lots of hidden obstacles out there, just buried beneath the surface. You do need to be very cautious.

Snowpack

Lots of different types of snow today, but mostly faceted loose and dense loose. Old powder still exists in sheltered terrain at all elevations. Damp snow was present at the lower elevations, and on the solar aspects. Some surface hoar growth present in sheltered terrain.
