Overall nice day with low clouds moving in and out, light winds and light precip. Not a whole lot of snow overnight in this area, and it felt very warm, more like mid march than mid january. We dug a pit to the ground at 9000ft on the shoulder of reynold glades near one of the steeper roll overs. Slope angle where we dug was 25 degrees, We did a quick hand hardness and found generally stable conditions in the upper ~meter of the snowpack, all of which was new snow after the december drought. The Facets were damp and seem to be healing, but during our ECT we got a clean propagation at 26. The pre-january near surface facets seem to be gaining strength but in this location are definitely still close enough and still weak enough to be of concern.
