We saw this avalanche on Weathering Heights. It appeared to be in the new snow and maybe 75'-100' wide. Through out the day there were some periods of intense graupel in the AM and intense snow in the early-mid afternoon. There seemed to be a touchy layer within the new snow from this. It looks like that is what this avalanche failed on but it is hard to say for certain.
On the drive down the canyon this event seemed wide spread with many small avalanches failing on a similar layer.
