The first skier in a party of 3 approached the upper portion of Gary's Gully and remotely triggered the avalanche. The wind was blowing consistently out of the SW at approximately 30mph. The avalanche ran approximately 250' before stopping at the narrow part of the run. The entire ridge running east and downhill had cornices forming. We opted to ski the south side of the ridge and drop in at a safer spot lower down.
