Below treeline snow surface was mostly a thick, sticky, half thawed crust. Above treeline surface snow was dense moist powder that dried off slightly higher in elevation. Observed a soft windslab on some specific terrain features above 2300'. South face of Sunburst was littered with large glide avalanches and cracks. Felt a whoomph at 2560' on a NW aspect of Magnum. Started feeling the presence of a slightly more cohesive soft slab sitting on top of the October crust as we ascended. Stability tests conducted ~200' lower on a same aspect showed stable results. Snowpack currently seems to be highly variable with elevation.

Overcast skies going obscured in the afternoon with valley fog rolling in from the north. Warm temps all day, mostly above freezing until higher in elevation. Calm winds. At approx 1pm precip started light as snow, picked up throughout the afternoon.
Snowpack
Dug a pit at 2220' on a NW aspect of Magnum. Snowpack was ~150cm deep and saturated. 20cm down from surface we observed a crust that was crumbly and wet. Above crust was wet fist hard pow. Conducted an ECT and CT and had no results.
