Our group was putting in the standard Highland skin track in a Mineral Fork. At about 8150 feet on nne aspect we remote triggered a d2 avalanche on the open slope across from us about at 8250 feet on a plus 30 degree slope. We were still exposed so we retreated and did not get a good look at it. We could not tell if was on the DJL or a layer closer to the ground.
