110cm at ridge top on Balu Pass. ECTX x 2, CTE (BRK) down 25cm (the HN hadn’t bonded to the old snow yet) CTH22 (RP) down 55cm x 2 under a crust. 30cm of powder on top, a 5cm thick crust down 50cm, pencil snow down to a 8cm thick crust at 68cm. Pencil rounds below that until the layer of moist basal facets on the ground. Evidence of old Na cycle out of the steeps on Cheops, not sure when, debris was buried. No avalanche activity witnessed during our tour. Skin track is sharky with lots of rocks, roots and open creeks.
