Below treeline 5000

trowbridge.a.s, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

No new avalanches observed since last cycle, the following debris obs are slides that ran from last Thurs to Saturday. King Louie ran past switchback 7 hitting trees on the inside of the road corner and filling up the creek bed in the track/runout. The middle diamond slide reported by Sean ran partly down a path that intersects with the upper pitch runout but some of it ran into the middle path and coming to within 75 of the south edge of the big tree island. Fresh 15 cm hemlock trees snapped. Strong North and North easterly winds from Feb 17 modified East aspect slopes of 5000 including well below treeline (variably stiffer surface conditions although ski quality was still good if you searched for micro sheltered slopes). Snow available for wind transport yesterday was actively moving into south quadrant aspects.
