Quick report
No signs of instability underfoot; although we mostly traveled on existing skin tracks or terrain where the snowpack was disturbed by the early December cycle. Undisturbed north-facing terrain at higher elevations is shallower than what you might expect because of previous northerly winds. Basal weak layers aren't showing much strengthening; still getting propagating results under moderate force. Bedsurfaces from the 12/3 cycle (of which there are many here), are shallow and weak. They'll be a problem whenever the next round of slabs form.

Snowpack is highly variable in the alpine due to previous wind events and avalanche activity.

Bedsurface @11,400', north aspect: HS 25 cm. 1.5mm facets over a bedsurface crust that varies in distribution.
