Quick Observation
10 - 20 cm of new snow on top of a thin crust that decreased with elevation. With the well-settled snow below, it skied well. I suspect it might disappear above 1500m. There were a few storm interfaces but little evidence of instability or propagation. Snowpack was 170cm at 1400m north aspect, and the earlier crust was solid and down 50 to 60cm. We could see evidence of cross-loading (but didn't travel in the alpine). There were no avalanches other than a few small deposits out of steep, unskiable terrain.
