Avalanche Information
Headed up with hopes of skiing 8812 bowl. Approaching Bruins met one skier in front of us who had been breaking and had just aborted due to collapses he triggered. We poked forward to make our own decisions and also triggered several significant collapses. We also chose to retreat and not mess with the steeper terrain to enter the ridge. Toured low angle up into Hospital bowl checking out conditions. Higher found a variety of wind effect, hollow sounds, and continued collapses. After a descent we worked up to the top of Ursus trees and down into Dispatchers bowl. While on the ridge we did see a couple of groups who had chosen to head up onto Bruins ridge. While traversing low angle terrain in Dispatchers we remote triggered a 1.5 on a NE facing steeper roll we were working around. No one caught. Weather for the day was warm. Close to 0 up high. Only very light wind on ridges. In and out clouds/fog but other times almost sunny but with a high thin cloud layer holding off the main energy. Still spooky out there.
