Ashman

Snow scoured at top of Ashman ridge. Recent natural avalanche viewed on NE slope. Crown maybe 30 cm (see photo). Did not ski north side. On south side, powder over firm snow. Breaking trail skis sunk in 15-20 cm. Boots sank 30 cm stepping off skis. Quick pit in opening below treeline (1350 m elev) did not observe any concerns in top 80 cm. Snow depth about 2.1 metres. McDonnel Road had several nasty water holes/traps.
