- <p>The snowpack is very weak, however right now there is no slab. When/if it snows, we have all the ingredients for a significant avalanche cycle (PWL, efficient bed surface from dense December snow). </p> <p>Below the rain crusts and dense snow from December, the facets/depth hoar is very weak. I never like pushing my pole into the snow and feeling hollowness just above the ground.</p>

Facets were easily observable below.
Skinning was somewhat slippery initially due to the weak faceted snow. In steep locations, it was easy to create small, manageable loose snow avalanches.

- <p>This is currently not active, except weak surface snow can possibly result in loose snow avalanches that could be a problem in the wrong location.</p>
A few inches of new low density snow fell on faceted snow from the past two weeks. This improved the skiing and it felt like you were skiing powder and not just falling through the facets.
Aspects with more southern or western exposure had a weak sun crust which wouldn't have skied well at all. This was present up to about 10,000'.
