-
No boxes checked for my travels today, although following the forecasts and observations, the snow pack is still producing avalanches on persistent weak layers.

Really nice conditions with a foot of new snow and a solid base made for great riding and turning. I kept things simple and mellow today enjoying the snow and moving around low angle terrain.
The north side of Moffit Peak has that thin rocky look to it right now and has likely seen some avalanche activity this season.

-
Visibility was a little limited today and could not see a lot of terrain. It felt like the snow pack handled the new snow fairly well outside of the problem areas where conditions are thin and rocky.

Looked like around 8-10" of new snow from last weeks storm at the trailhead and a solid foot and a half for some of the upper elevations in the Whitney Basin. The conditions have greatly improved with the recent snow and it is easy moving around on a good supportable base.
