Zoa Ridge Snow Pits

Everyone in our group dug a snow pit on Zoa ridge today. We all got similar results. Here are my results. NE aspect on a 35 degree winloaded convex slope. CTM 11 uneven break 30 cm down this was the storm snow. CTH 23 sudden pop 45 cm down on rain crust. The rain crust is 25 cm thick sugary snow. A shovel pull released 2 slabs, one on the thick ice/rain crust and one on a deeper crust layer 75 cm down.
