Sunshine Wawa N/ NE

We skied some runs off Wawa ridge to the N and NE. Conditions were wind pressed, windslab and wind scoured. Breakable crust on solar and some good facet skiing in sheltered areas from the wind on polar. The weather started out cold, overcast and windy and progressed to warmer -2 and broken by the end of the day. Some drum like sounds were heard and another party off Twin Cairns area reported whumphing. The middle pack is mostly settled and shallow but overlies a very weak base.
