Last bit of winter

Got out on the day before the extreme warm cycle. Below 1900 m in the trees the snow pack was extremely faceted and made for riding that was a lot of work. At treeline and in the alpine seemed to be an entirely different snowpack. ECT at 2100 m on a N aspect early in the morning did not get any results. Mid shin boot penetration and snowpack seemed consolidated. Lots of raveling throughout the afternoon of high alpine rock faces. By afternoon the pow was gone and solar aspects were very wet.
