A wet day in the Rohr trees with rain up to 1850 m. Some serious crowns were visible across the valley on Cayoosh, included in pics. At 1950 m, we dug a pit on an 35 degree slope and found ECTN23 with a non-propagating fracture about 30 cm below the surface sitting on a firm crust. The upper snowpack consisted of 5–10 cm of recent snow over a crust; this snow was cracking/sliding out under skis the entire time above 1600m, along with plenty of exposed rocks/holes to watch out for, making for some interesting skiing.
