Rad day w a crew of keen Yukon sledders for our first motorized AST1.
It was a cold stormy day with a brief period of sun to pop into the alpine and make some observations. No new avalanches were observed.
Pit at top of tree line had the crust layer down about 50cm and had some resistant planar results in the top of the hard range above and below the crust interface. Total HS was between 200 and 260cm.
Riding was phenomenal in the trees with 25 - 50cm of fresh. Riding was a lot more variable in the alpine.
