December 20th we skied the north and south bowls near Cirque Peak. A cold start to the day with temps around -25c at 9:30. Around noon we were in t-shirts and an inversion was evident. Both slopes skied well with cold and dry pow and slightly variable wind effect. West facing slopes are typically very thin and a light step was required to navigate the rocks. There was evidence of cornice failure off of cirque sub peak facing observation peak but nothing had stepped down to trigger slopes bellow. A great day out, stay warm.
